In this experiment which beaker would heat up faster?
Sea Breezes and Land Breezes are 2 types of local winds caused by the unequal heating/cooling of land and water.
Sea Breeze
Occurs when the land is heated up during the day. Warm air rises (low pressure/less dense) & cool air (high pressure/more dense) blows in from the cooler ocean to fill the space.
Land Breeze
At night, the water cools down more slowly than the land. The warm air rises over the water & the cooler air from the land blows out to the ocean to fill in the space.

Global winds are winds that are flowing from great distances.
Global winds form because the Sun rays have to bend around the sphere shape of the Earth at different angles. At the equator, the Sun is almost directly overhead for most of the year. Warm air rises at the equator and moves toward the poles. At the poles, the cooler air sinks and moves back toward the equator.
