Laura Esquivel es una autora mexicana. Una de sus novelas más famosas se llama Como agua para chocolate. En la novela, hay una conexión entre la comida1 y las emociones. La novela es sobre2 una chica que se llama Tita. Tita es una chica triste porque su madre dice que ella nunca puede casarse3.
Tita tiene un novio que se llama Pedro. Pedro quiere casarse con Tita, pero su madre le dice que «No». Entonces, la madre dice que Pedro sí puede casarse con la hermana de Tita. Pedro decide casarse con Rosaura, la hermana de Tita. Por eso, Tita está muy triste. Tita tiene que preparar comida para la boda4 de su hermana Rosaura y Pedro. Mientras5 Tita prepara la comida, ella está muy triste y llora mucho. Luego6, las personas que van a la boda comen la comida. Cuando comen la comida, ellos lloran y vomitan. Las emociones que tiene Tita mientras prepara la comida causan problemas para las personas que comen la comida.
