Soccer Champions - reading passage

A. Kim hung her head low.

B. "Just get out there and do your best," encouraged Coach Jason.

C. She jumped and blocked the ball with her hands.

D. The Angels were the champions!

A. The Stars jogged onto the field. The Angels knew it would be a tough game. Both teams went to their sides of the field. The game began.

B. The referee blew the whistle. Both teams began kicking the ball down the field. At halftime, the score was Stars 1, Angels 0

C. Kim was the best goalie. She had her hands up, and she was on her toes waiting for the ball. She blocked the goal. Then she kicked the ball hard.

D. The Angels and Stars played their best. Kim was sad when she did not block the goal. At halftime Coach Jason made the team feel better. The Angels won the championship game.
