SWBAT create a scale drawing with a given scale factor

Logo--Ms. Leon is making some changes to Prizer's design. The original logo is 10 inches by 8 inches.
She wants to make a large banner for fans to hold during basketball games using a scale factor of 8.5.
What will the new dimensions be?

When you draw the new scale drawing, you can just use a rectangle for the basic shape. You do not have to draw the actual image

SPICY Problems (Only try if you have time)

Windows—Ms. Zangrilli is building a dollhouse for her daughter that is a scale model of their house. Their house has a circular window with a diameter of 5 feet. If the scale factor for the model house is \frac{1}{30}, create and label a scale drawing of the window using inches.

Pool—A small rectangular pool in your friend’s yard is 15 feet by 40 feet. You want to create a scale drawing in which the scale factor is \frac{3}{4} the size on the scale drawing.
