Tim glanced patiently at his younger sister and sighed. Sammie had taken off her coat again. Now she was running around the woods wearing just a sweater. It had been challenging to get the coat on her in the first place. Tim was not looking forward to doing it again, but since he was babysitting, it was his job.
“Sammie, you need your jacket,” Tim grumbled.
“I don’t want to!” Sammie answered, slowly walking back to him.
Tim stayed calm but grumbled, “Look at me. I’m wearing my jacket to stay warm.”
“But I’m not cold,” Sammie insisted. “Just feel my skin.”
Tim put his hand against her arm and admitted she was warm. Tim wondered if Sammie did not get cold as easily as he did. Plus, she was running around a lot, and maybe she was warm from the exercise.
Tim asked, “What if you do get cold?”
Sammie quickly said, “I’ll come put my coat on.”
“Okay,” said Tim as he watched Sammie go climb a tree.
Then Tim smiled and thought, “Hey, I used to hate wearing my jacket too!”
