Everything on Earth can be catagorized into a major system. In Earth Science, these systems are called spheres. These larger spheres can be further broken down into sub-spheres and those can be broken down to more specific systems. The major spheres are the biosphere, geosphere (lithosphere), atmosphere, hydrosphere and cryosphere.
