Once upon a time, the "United States Environmental Protection Agency", also known as EPA, was not there. In 1970, a man named Richard Nixon thinked, "It's important to protect, air, water and the land." Nixon knew that Earth were our home and wanted to keep it safe. She sayed, "Let's start the EPA." People, animals, and plants were happy. The EPA was help to stop polluting the, river, air, and the, ground. They planned ways to keep nature safe. Every day they monitored pollution and maked laws to ensure the protection of our environment.
