There are many stories about amazing twins, but the story of Jim and Jim, identical twins, is special. Jim and Jim were born in the USA. The twins’ parents could not keep the babies, so they left the hospital in Ohio with new parents. 26 ___ One of the boys went to a place called Lima and the other went to Piqua, 45 km apart. Both sets of new parents called their new baby ‘Jim’. They didn’t know that their new little boy’s twin had the same name.
When they grew up, both men became police officers, they both married women called Linda and they both named their sons James Allen. 27 ___ They had the same name – Toy.
One of the twins knew he had a brother, so he started to look for him when they were in their 30s. 28 ___ They spoke on the phone a few times. 29 ___ Jim Lewis and Jim Springer saw each other for the first time in 1979, after 39 years.
The Jim twins shared their stories and discovered many similarities about their likes and dislikes and their personalities. They also did a personality test for twins at the University of Minnesota. 30 ___ That’s amazing for two people who just met!
