Best Buds

Augustin and I have been best friends for practically our entire lives. Every day at recess, we sprint to the football field to toss around the ball with the other boys. I've never felt our friendship was threatened before... that is, not until last week.

Bobby was the new kid at school, and I know it sounds ridiculous, but I was concerned because Augustin and Bobby seemed to be getting pretty tight. Augustin and Bobby seemed to be getting pretty tight. Augustin even invited him to play with us every day. I don't know why it bothered me so much, but it did. Yesterday, I even found myself being a little rough on Bobby during the game. I think Augustin noticed because he invited me, just me, to bowl with him and his family tonight. I decided to go with him to try to preserve our friendship and make up for how badly I had acted. When I look back on the whole situation, I guess I was jealous. I knew in my heart we were best buds, but I let my mind play tricks on me.
