Annoying

Smack...smack...chomp...chew... was all that Hannah heard coming from Joseph's mouth as she tried to concentrate. He was chewing gum like a horse chews grass. She rolled her eyes and scowled at her brother.

"Stop it already!" Hannah demanded.

Joseph looked up at Hannah with a bewildered look.

"What's up? I wasn't even touching you!" Joseph replied.

She smacked her lips and mocked him, chomping right back at him as loudly as she could. "That's what's bothering me!" she exclaimed.

Annoyed and aggravated, Joseph got up and moved to another seat far away from Hannah. She glared at him from across the room as she continued her reading.
