Transparent materials allow light to pass through easily, like a clear glass window. Translucent materials allow some light to pass through but scatter it, creating a diffused effect, as seen in frosted glass. Opaque materials, such as wood or metal, block the passage of light entirely.
Furthermore, light can be absorbed by certain materials, transforming its energy into heat. This is why dark-colored objects feel warm when exposed to sunlight. Understanding the behavior of light and its interaction with different materials is key to appreciating the wonders of our visual world.
