Essential Question: How could I use science in a career?
1.

These are just a few careers available in science and technology. Circle any that you have not heard of before.

2.

Match each career with its job description. Use the hints as needed.

responsible for the health and well-being of animals
diagnoses, treats, and prevents eye diseases and disorders

3.

Create a list of all of your “favorites.” You could include your favorite hobbies, favorite subjects, or even just favorite things like animals or foods. See if you can relate each of your favorite things to science in some way! For example, if you wrote animals, this relates to biology and veterinary science. If you wrote favorite foods, this relates to nutrition. You can even find relationships such as “hanging out with friends” relates to working with a team of other scientists.

Sort the following types of science careers based on whether you'd be interested in that field or not.

  • Life Science Careers: biologist, zoologist, botanist
