Objective: To be able to interpret chemical formulas.
Practicing Using the Periodic Table
In the periodic table below, click on the word "Game". Use the drop down menu to set the game to "Easy:Periods 1-4 Only". The game will let you practice matching the name of the element to its symbol and location on the periodic table. It will make your study of chemistry so much easier if you are familiar with the elements in the first 4 rows of the periodic table. When you are finished paste a screen shot of your score in the box below.

Hint: Most symbols are the first letter or the first two letters of the name of the element. The exceptions for this set are
K= potassium
Na= sodium
Fe= iron
Mn= manganese
Zn = zinc
