The first part of this assignment requires you to do independent research to learn about 2 careers. We will go over this in class on 9/17 so you know where I expect you to do that research.
You are always welcome to come back to assignments and make corrections after you submit and see your scores. Teacher graded items will not have a score in the course gradebook until I grade your responses.
Career exploration
Exploring healthcare careers
Background Information: Employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 18 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 million new jobs. Healthcare occupations are projected to add more jobs than any of the other occupational groups. This projected growth is mainly due to an aging population, leading to greater demand for healthcare services.
Careers and education opportunities in healthcare include a wide array of background, interests, skills and experiences. Taking a Human Anatomy and Physiology course in high school or college is often the first step in discovering the careers in healthcare which most interest you so that you may begin following the pathway to achieve that career!
In this assignment you will explore various careers in healthcare (some more familiar than others) to see which of these careers best suits your current interests.

You’ve already learned how medical professionals like doctors and nurses, as well as other professionals like physiotherapists, trainers, and coaches, benefit from understanding anatomy and physiology. Explain how at least one other non-medical career could benefit from what you’ll learn in this course. For example, how might an artist benefit from understanding anatomy, or how might an architect building stairs, ramps, and so on benefit from knowledge of physiology?
