The Cunning Bird and the Proud Peacock
In a lush green meadow, a proud peacock named Percy loved to flaunt his beautiful feathers. He would strut around, showing off his vibrant colors to all the other animals. One day, a cunning bird named Felix approached Percy, admiring his plumage. "Your feathers are indeed magnificent, Percy. But tell me, can you actually fly like the eagle?" he asked slyly.
Percy, feeling boastful, replied, "Of course! I can fly higher than anyone!" Felix challenged Percy to a flying contest. "Let’s see how high you can go," he said. Percy agreed, ready to prove himself and show off.
When the contest began, Felix quickly took to the skies, soaring high above the meadow. Percy flapped his wings but could barely leave the ground. As Felix flew higher and higher, Percy realized he had lied about his abilities. Feeling embarrassed, he tried to catch up, but it was too late.
From that day on, Percy learned that telling lies only leads to trouble. He understood that being honest is much better than pretending to be something he was not. He promised to be truthful, no matter what.
