THE CAMPING TRIP
"The Camping Trip"

Jake and his family were excited about their camping trip. They packed their bags, got their sleeping bags, and filled their cooler with food. Early Saturday morning, they got into the car and drove to the campsite.

When they arrived, Jake helped his dad set up the tent. First, they picked a flat spot near the trees. Next, they spread out the tent on the ground. Then, Jake handed his dad the poles, and they started putting the tent together. After a few minutes, the tent was standing tall.

Once the tent was up, Jake’s mom lit a small campfire. They roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. Jake thought the marshmallows were delicious! After eating, they sat around the fire and told stories. As it got dark, they looked up at the stars.

When it was time for bed, Jake crawled into his sleeping bag, feeling happy and tired. He listened to the sound of the wind in the trees before he fell asleep.
