Now you’ve landed at the mine site after a 2-hour flight. After a quick check-in and dropping your bags off at your room, you head over to the office to talk with your cross-shift. This person will be leaving for her 2-week break later on today. First, you find out what has occurred during your break and review the mining 2. ______________________  planned for today. You then go over to the changing area in the “dry,” the spot where your work clothes are kept, and put on your boots, hardhat, and coveralls and collect your lamp. After a couple of other inspection stops along the way, you head back to the shaft to catch the mine elevator that takes you back to the 5. ______________________ .
