Manuel was torn. He did want to see José… but he was also scared that the spirit might try and harm them again. Try as he might, he couldn’t quite understand what made José happy or mad. And he couldn’t shake the nagging thought that this was a vengeful ghost he was dealing with, one who had seemingly cursed his own family with bad luck, and surely that was a bad sign. But that, Manuel felt, made it even more important that he try to help José find peace once and for all…
“AAAAHHH!”
Manuel was snapped out of his train of thought by the piercing sound of Jian’s yell. He looked up, just in time to see his best friend slip off a high branch and begin plummeting to the ground.

José’s cloudy form held up his free hand in a friendly wave to the boys before disappearing.”
