In the United States, college sports are a big business! Universities make a lot of money from ticket sales, selling team gear, and letting TV companies show their games. But the athletes who play these games don't get paid like professional athletes who can earn millions of dollars a year. Instead, college athletes have always gotten scholarships to help pay for their education, but no money directly for playing. However, things are changing. In 2024, a big deal was made that could mean colleges start paying their athletes as early as 2025!
