Lesson intentions To know that text can be protected using “encryption”
Success Criteria:
1: Be know that encryption turns plain text into cipher text
2: To be able to encrypt and decrypt messages
3: To be aware of disadvantages of using the caesar cipher.
Caesar Cipher: A method of "Encrypting" messages by "Shifting" the alphabet by a certain amount.

Encryption:
Turning "plain text" into "Cipher text". This makes it so that people without the "key" cannot understand it.

Decryption:
Turning "Cipher Text" into "Plain text"

Key: The method in encrypting and decrypting. Only you and the person you are sharing with should know this key.
