  • Pair up: One student is Person A (customer), the other is Person B (server).
  • Person A records the conversation on Formative.
  • Complete at least 4 full exchanges (that means:A speaks → B responds → A speaks → B responds = 1 round) → total of 4–5 rounds minimum.

Conversation Checklist

✔ Person A (Customer) must
  • Ask for a main dish (plat principal)
  • Ask for a dessert
  • Describe the flavor profile they want (e.g., Ă©picĂ©, salĂ©, sucrĂ©)
  • Ask how the dish is prepared (e.g., rĂŽti, bouilli, flambĂ©)
✔ Person B (Server) must
  • Recommend dishes or foods that match the customer’s requests
  • Explain how they are prepared
  • Keep it polite and realistic (pretend you’re at a real restaurant!)

How much speaking?

✅ Aim for about 1–2 sentences per turn (no one-word replies)
✅ Total: about 8–10 short sentences across both students
