Person A records the conversation on Formative.
Complete at least 4 full exchanges (that means:A speaks â B responds â A speaks â B responds = 1 round) â total of 4â5 rounds minimum.
â Person A (Customer) must
Ask for a main dish (plat principal)
Ask for a dessert
Describe the flavor profile they want (e.g., épicé, salé, sucré)
Ask how the dish is prepared (e.g., rÎti, bouilli, flambé)
â Person B (Server) must
Recommend dishes or foods that match the customerâs requests
Explain how they are prepared
Keep it polite and realistic (pretend youâre at a real restaurant!)
â Aim for about 1â2 sentences per turn (no one-word replies)
â Total: about 8â10 short sentences across both students
Person A (Customer):
â Greet the server (Bonjour Madame / Monsieur).
â Ask for a recommendation (Quâest-ce que vous recommandezâŻ?).
â Order one dish and one drink (Je voudraisâŠ).
â Thank the server (Merci beaucoup !).
Person B (Server):
â Greet the customer (Bonjour, bienvenue !).
â Recommend a dish or drink (Je recommandeâŠ).
â Confirm the order (TrĂšs bien, un⊠et un⊠?).
â Say bon appĂ©tit or polite closing (Bon appĂ©tit !).
