Confucianism:
Confucianism taught that a good ruler should act like a wise and caring parent to the people and that harmony in society came from everyone knowing their role. Government officials were chosen based on their knowledge of Confucian ideas such as honesty, respect, and duty, which helped create a stable government and supported a strict social order. Children were expected to respect their parents, students to honor their teachers, and subjects to obey their rulers, encouraging strong families and loyal communities. Education became very important because learning Confucian ideas was seen as the key to becoming a good person, and Confucian principles of respect and duty helped keep peace in towns and villages by guiding how everyone interacted with each other.
