Text: The Charity Project
Last year, our school decided to bring up the idea of helping a local animal shelter. Many students liked the plan, so we started to organize a charity project.
First, we wanted to bring together people who cared about animals. We invited parents, teachers, and local volunteers to join us. Everyone was happy to help.
We also needed to bring in some money, so we planned a bake sale. Our teacher suggested we bring along our pets to make the event more fun. Many people came to see the dogs and cats — and they donated a lot!
The photos from the event really brought out everyone’s kindness. Later, we printed them and sold the pictures to bring in more funds.
The local newspaper heard about our project and wrote an article. It helped to bring back good memories for people who had adopted animals before.
Of course, it wasn’t always easy. Sometimes problems brought down our spirits, especially when we didn’t raise as much money as we hoped. But we never gave up!
In the end, the project was a success. We brought together a whole community and helped many animals find new homes.
