Principal Appreciation Day: Mixed Showcase Plan (30 minutes)
You will plan a 30-minute assembly to show appreciation for your principal using a mixed showcase:
“A Day in the Life” skit (students write and act)
Concert song (gratitude/friendship/appreciation theme)
Poetry or quote reading (thankfulness/appreciation)
Make it kind, respectful, and school-appropriate.
Make sure many students have roles (onstage and backstage).
Keep the whole assembly to 30 minutes total, including transitions.
Create a run-of-show (what happens, when it happens, and who does it).
A clear plan for each segment
A time plan that adds up to 30 minutes
A materials/props list
A backup plan in case someone is absent or something goes wrong
Choose your role for the showcase team (write one): Emcee, Writer, Performer, Singer, Reader, Stage Crew.
Match each segment to what you must plan for it.
