Elizabeth has been running for two months

arrow_right_alt

She feels that running a marathon is more achievable than before

When Elizabeth’s alarm woke her, the only light streaming through her window came from a streetlamp outside. Slowly, she sat up, stretched, and rubbed her eyes. Then, she pulled on her workout clothes and stumbled to the front door. When she stepped outside, she shivered, feeling grateful for her hat and gloves.

The dried leaves on the ground swirled about her feet as she stretched. When she started out on her jog, she marveled at how much easier she moved and breathed than when she had started this habit two months ago. Finishing the half-marathon she was training for seemed more possible than ever. She ran around the block, through the park, and back to her front door just in time to get ready for work.
