READ THIS:

Mrs. Fernandez took several raw eggs with their shells (as seen in the picture below) and placed them in a container full of vinegar and let them soak over night.

The vinegar "decalcifies" (breaks down) the shell of the egg, leaving behind an egg with no shell...

The squishy, flexible membrane that is left behind after the shell is dissolved away is semi-permeable, like a cell membrane.
