Objective: to become acquainted with and utilize anatomical and medical terminology.
On a scale of 1-5, how are you doing today and, if you're comfortable sharing with me why? (1 = not good, 5 = great)
Which section did you read yesterday (1.3, 1.4, or 1.5?) What was one interesting thing you read?
NEXT! Decide amongst yourselves which roles you will all fill.
Reader - reads the questions or text out loud for group
Manager - makes sure all members are participating and working on same question.
Timekeeper - keeps track of time
Spokesperson - Comes back to the main group to ask questions if need be
Type out your role below.
Talk with your group and do your best to match the following terminologies with their meaning. Think about when (if ever) you've heard the words. It's ok if you don't know them all. PLEASE don't google anything, just talk with one another!

One small hint about this...
Use the alphabet list with the blue letters, NOT the one at the top of the page!

Next up... For questions 5-8, work with your group on breaking the word up into its parts and determining its meaning. Type the parts AND full meaning in the spaces provided.
Two examples of this are:
Example 1:
Given: oncology
You type: onc= cancer, -logy = study of, oncology = study of cancer
Example 2:
Given: hemolysis
you type: hem = blood, -lysis = breakdown, separation, destruction, loosening
This will take some trial and error. It's ok if they're not perfect! Again, ignore the temptation to google!
hypertrophy
hypoglycemia
electroencephalogram
erythrocyte
Lastly, pick a letter and use at least two word parts to:
make up your own medical term
define your term
Have fun with this!
