1. Make sure the fluid is set to water, click "Turn Fluid into Water," at the top-left of the lab simulation.
2. Measure the mass of each material in the table by clicking on each material at the bottom-right of the lab simulation, then by clicking, holding, and dragging the material onto the scale to find the mass. Record these masses in the table, where appropriate.
3. Measure the volume of each material by the displacement method. First, note the initial volume of the water in the beaker. Second, click on each material at the bottom-right of the lab simulation, then click, hold, and drag the material into the beaker holding the water. Measure the new volume of the water, after it stops moving. Record each of these volumes in the table, where appropriate.
4. Subtract the initial volume from the new volume to determine the volume of each material. Record this volume in the table, where appropriate.
5. Determine the density of each material using the density formula and a calculator. Record the density of each material in the table, where appropriate.
