**National Punctuation Day (Sept 24): Punctuation Detectives**
Work with your team to solve the “Missing Muffin” case by spotting punctuation clues, choosing the best punctuation, and revising dialogue.
**Team directions (40–60 minutes):**
1) Pick roles: Reader (reads aloud), Scribe (types), Rule-Keeper (checks punctuation rules), Checker (confirms final answers).
2) Read *Exhibit A* aloud once before answering.
3) Discuss each question for 30–60 seconds, then the Scribe submits.
4) For the final revision, aim for clarity first (sentence endings), then dialogue punctuation, then commas/colons/semicolons, then apostrophes.
Be ready to justify your choices with a rule, not just a “gut feeling.”
