Welcome! We’ll use two icebreakers—Find Someone Who and Classroom Would You Rather—to learn classmates’ names and practice our classroom routines.
Move safely: Walk, watch for others, and keep hands to yourself.
Find Someone Who: Talk to classmates to find a person who matches a prompt.
How to record: When you find someone, write their name (or initials) on your paper OR tell the teacher your match.
Switch partners often: After each match, find a new person.
Stop signal: When the teacher raises a hand and says “Freeze,” stop, look, and listen.
Stand on one side of the room for Choice A and the other side for Choice B.
When you choose, listen to someone who chose differently.
Use sentence frames:
“I chose ___ because ___.”
“I agree/disagree because ___.”
We are learning names, interests, and how we do things in our classroom.
Drag each prompt into the grade band you’re using today.
Tip: If you’re playing orally, you can still use this as a class checklist.
