What raw materials (Reactants) are needed for photosynthesis?
The pigment molecules called chlorophyll, which help plants make food through photosynthesis, are located in the thylakoid membranes inside the chloroplasts. These pigments absorb sunlight and use it to start the process of making energy for the plant. Chlorophyll makes plants look green because it reflects green light!
