The population of the world is over 7 billion people and will continue to grow in the near future. Women on some continents give birth to many more children per person than others. In Africa, the average rate of children per woman is 5.9 while in North America it is closer to 2 children per woman. In Europe the birth rate has dropped to around 1.5 children per woman. These differences are caused by many things. Match the characteristics of a population to its fertility and growth rates.
