A Seasonal Strategy for Survival

The Forest Gardener

Tapirs are a type of mammal that is native to tropical forests. One species, the Baird’s tapir, lives in the jungles of Costa Rica in Central America. They have existed for at least 50 million years and are most closely related to the horse and rhinoceros.
