Just to remind you, average rate of change is the change in distance divided by the change in time, similar to finding the slope of a function.

For questions 1-4, use the position function below regarding a coin dropping from the top of a 1362-foot tall building.

Pitanje 1
1.

Find v(t), the instantaneous velocity funciton.

Pitanje 2
2.

Find the average velocity on the interval [1, 2]

HINT: Solution should be negative because the object is falling. Use s(t) to compute average velocity.

Pitanje 3
3.

Find the intstantaneous velocity of the object at 2 seconds.

Pitanje 4
4.

Find the velocity of the coin when it reaches the ground. Round to three decimal places.

HINT: Solve s(t) = 0. Then plug that result into v(t).

Pitanje 5
5.

Find v(t), the instantaneous velocity funciton.

Pitanje 6
6.

Find the velocity of the object at 5 seconds.

Pitanje 7
7.

Find the velocity of the object when the object hits the ground.
