Based on the information below, which constitutional rights did the Supreme Court advance in the Hernandez v. Texas ruling?
Hernandez v. Texas (1954) In 1950, Pete Hernandez was tried and convicted of a felony. His lawyers argued that Hernandez did not receive a trial by an impartial jury because no Mexican American had served on a jury for more than 25 years in Texas where the case was tried. After an appeal, the U.S. Supreme Court reversed the conviction.
