DIRECTIONS: First, decide whether the conflict is internal, external or both.

• An INTERNAL CONFLICT takes place entirely within a character’s own mind or body.

Person vs. Self (difficult decisions, emotions disease or illness, etc.)


• In an EXTERNAL CONFLICT, a character struggles against an outside force.
