forefront in his mind. With the grace of a gazelle and the fierceness of a panther, he leaped from the branch and startled the caribou that grazed on the green carpet meadow. This was his first hunt for the day. If by fortune or skill, he knew that he had to be the one selected by the elders to be the next leader.
